Share verified before and after results
Turn two geo-grid scans into a before and after picture with a verify link: what gets checked, the picture, the post, the business's approval and your public results page.
On this page
A verified result is a before and after picture of a client's map, made from two of your geo-grid scans of the same keyword. Every picture carries a short code and a QR code. Anyone who sees it, a prospect on LinkedIn or a visitor on your website, can open the code on searchops.co and see the same two maps redrawn from what SearchOps measured, with every scan in between and a list of what was checked. It turns a screenshot into proof.
Make one
There are two ways in:
- From a keyword: open Geo-Grid Scans, choose a keyword, and press Before and after at the top of its page. The keyword needs at least two scans on the same surface (Google Maps, Google Search or AI Mode).
- From a scan result: press Before and after at the top of any finished scan to end the picture at that scan. Under Territory movement, compare it with an earlier scan and SearchOps tells you straight away whether that pair verifies as a gain, with a button to make it. A scan that already ends a verified gain shows a Worth sharing banner.
- From a win SearchOps found: open Verified results in the sidebar, under Reports (/dashboard/proofs). Worth sharing lists gains in the scans you already run that pass every check and haven't been published yet. The Monday geo-grid digest mentions the best one too.
Pick the before scan and the after scan. SearchOps checks them straight away and either shows the numbers and the picture, or tells you why that pair can't be verified. Then choose whether to name the business, and press Publish verified result.
What SearchOps checks
A pair of scans is published only when all of these hold:
- Same search, same ground. Both scans asked the same keyword (or the same AI Mode prompt) at the same points: same centre, grid size, spacing and rotation.
- At least 14 days apart.
- Answers at nine in ten points or more on both sides. Points where Google gave no answer are never counted as losses or gains.
- No quiet-day before scan. If Google showed no Map Pack (or no AI Mode answer) at many more points in the before scan than the after, the gain would be overstated, so the pair is refused.
- The same listing. Where the business was found in both scans, it was the same Google listing.
- Not the business's own name. A search for the business by name is one it's expected to win.
- A real gain. The change has to be bigger than the swing you'd see from running the same scan twice. A move within that swing is refused, however good it looks.
Google Search scans from before 12 October 2026 counted ads as positions, so they are not compared with newer ones.
The verify page lists these checks, shows every scan of that search between the two dates (so a reader can see a steady climb rather than one lucky day), and says plainly what SearchOps does not verify: who did the work, or why the result changed.
Naming the business, or not
- Named: the picture and verify page show the business's name, town and the map with streets. Tick the box to confirm you have the business's permission to publish its name.
- Name hidden: describe it instead ("A dental clinic in central London"). The picture shows the grid without streets, and the verify page never publishes its location or coordinates.
The picture
On the result's page, make the picture yours:
- Design: Classic, Midnight, Brand colour (your colour, full bleed), Paper or Bold headline.
- Colour: your Brand Kit colour comes first, or pick any colour. Text stays readable whatever you pick.
- Headline: lead with the before and after numbers, the points gained, the share of the area, or the ground covered.
- Label: a few words above the name, such as "Client result". Digits are left out, because every number comes from the verified result.
- Format: Square, Portrait, Landscape (LinkedIn, X and websites) or Story, laid out side by side, stacked, or with the after map large.
- Map and pins: streets in light, colour, dark or satellite, and pins with numbers or as dots.
- What shows: the ground covered, the checks line, the QR code and the town. The code and verify link always show.
The previews show the picture, the verify page as a prospect will see it, and the result on a website, before you publish. Each result keeps its look, and the embed and link preview follow it. Save as house style makes it the starting look for every new result.
On the Agency and Enterprise plans, Make the Reel records an 8 second video of the grid filling in, for Reels and Stories. Chrome and Safari save it as MP4; other browsers save WebM.
Share it
- The link: copy it into your post. When pasted, it shows the picture as its preview.
- A post to go with it: choose LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or Website and press Write. The draft uses only this result's own numbers and never says why the result changed. Edit it before you post.
- Put it on your website (Agency and Enterprise): copy the embed code for a before and after slider visitors can drag, with the verify link under it. Choose the version for a light or a dark site.
Ask the business to approve it
Enter the owner's email under Ask the business to approve it. They get a link to review the result, add their name and a short quote, and approve it. Approved results say so on the picture and the verify page. If they choose Not now, the result is taken down.
Your public results page
On the Agency and Enterprise plans, Your public results page gives you one page of every result you publish, at searchops.co/results/your-name, to link from your website and pitches. Turn on List my agency among verified agencies to appear at searchops.co/verified-agencies, ordered by how many verified results each agency has. Only the account owner can change the page.
To put several results for one client under one link, tick them in Your results and press Put under one link.
Withdraw a result
Press Withdraw on the result's page. Its link then says it was withdrawn and shows no numbers, so an old picture isn't mistaken for a forgery. Restore puts it back.
Note: Verified results are included on every paid plan. The Reel, the website embed, results under one link and the public results page are included on the Agency and Enterprise plans. A result is made from the scans you've already run. SearchOps keeps the first scan of every keyword's series with its full map, so a long campaign can always show where it started.
