A Local Falcon alternative that manages the profile as well as the map

Local Falcon measures the way SearchOps does, with a grid of points on the map paid for one credit a point, and every plan has unlimited locations and keywords. For tracking on its own it costs less, and this page says so. Where the two differ is the work after the scan: changing the profile, answering reviews, auditing against the rivals the grid found, and reporting to a client.

The short answer

SearchOps or Local Falcon?

SearchOps fits if

  • You manage the Business Profiles you track, and want edits, posts, review replies and audits in the same plan as the grid, with every profile change approved before it reaches Google and an undo afterwards.
  • You report to clients and want white-label reports, verified before and after results and unlimited team members on one published plan: Agency, at $249 a month.
  • You want ChatGPT and Gemini checked every week for each service a business sells, with who is named instead and the sites each answer cites, or you would rather pay in pounds.

Local Falcon fits if

  • You need Apple Maps or Grok, or want ChatGPT and Gemini sampled point by point across a map grid.
  • Grid tracking is the main job and cost per point matters most: Local Falcon Pro is $99.99 a month for 31,250 credits.
  • You scan many businesses you don't manage, such as prospects and competitors, since every Local Falcon plan has unlimited locations and keywords.
  • You build client dashboards in Looker Studio, or want to start with 100 credits and no card.

Using both

Some teams keep Local Falcon for high-volume prospecting scans, paid for in credits, and run the client profiles they manage in SearchOps.

Price the job

Twenty locations tracked every week, priced both ways

An agency tracks 20 client locations, five keywords each, on a 7×7 Google Maps grid every week. That is tracking alone, where Local Falcon is at its strongest. Tick what else the job needs, or change the numbers to price your own case.

Your job

The job also needs
The sum: 20 locations × 5 keywords × 49 points × 4.33 runs a month (52 weeks ÷ 12) = 21,234 Google Maps points a month, rounded up.

SearchOps

$189a month

Pro ($99) plus 2 × 5,000-credit top-ups ($90) bought each month.

12,000 scan credits a month cover 21,234 points with the top-ups, leaving 766 for Google Search or AI Mode grids. Up to 50 locations.

Local Falcon

$99.99a month

Pro, 31,250 points included, billed monthly.

Local Falcon charges one credit for each Google Maps point. When a plan's credits run short, this takes the cheaper of the next plan up or pay-as-you-go credits at $0.05 each. Locations and keywords have no cap of their own.

  • For tracking alone, Local Falcon costs less. SearchOps' $189 is Pro with two 5,000-credit top-ups, for one user, and includes 3,000 ChatGPT and Gemini checks a month, profile edits, posts, review replies and audits for up to 25 connected profiles.
  • With white-label reports, Local Falcon Premium is $199.99 and SearchOps Agency is $249, which adds unlimited team members, 6,000 ChatGPT and Gemini checks and 13,766 spare scan credits for Google Search or AI Mode grids.
  • Local Falcon's pricing table lists Falcon Agent, which posts and replies to reviews, on Basic and above. Its pages don't say how many people can use one account, so the calculator doesn't price a team for Local Falcon.
  • Both are monthly list prices as each company publishes them. Local Falcon's Reviews Analysis ($19 a location for each report), Falcon AI reports (25 credits each) and Falcon Guard ($0.10 a location a month) aren't included.
  • SearchOps' prices here are the US dollar prices on its pricing page (£29, £79 and £199 a month in pounds). Checkout shows the exact amount in your currency.

What's different

What SearchOps does differently

After the scan

Fix what the map shows on the profile itself, with an approval step and an undo

When a grid shows a gap, the fix is often on the Business Profile: a missing service, a category, opening hours, photos or the description. SearchOps makes those changes from the same account that runs the scans. Nothing reaches Google until someone approves it, any change can be reversed later, and an edit waits if Google has changed that field since, so it doesn't overwrite a change you haven't seen. Posts go out straight away or on a schedule, to one profile or several.

  • Approve first, then publish to Google
  • Undo any change you made
  • Held if Google changed the value since

Audit against the grid's rivals

Score the profile against the businesses that beat it on the map

A grid tells you who wins each point. The profile audit scores the business on about 30 checks, then scores up to five of the rivals from the latest Google Maps scan out of 100, on the checks their public listings show, so you can see where the businesses ahead of you are stronger.

  • About 30 checks, each with a published point value
  • Up to five rivals from your latest scan, scored out of 100
  • A prioritised list of fixes

Client reporting

Reports in your branding, and gains your client can check

A grid can shift a few places between two runs with nothing changed on the profile. SearchOps counts a movement as a real gain only when it is larger than that normal swing, and turns it into a verified before and after picture the client can check. Reports start from eight templates or your own layout and go out by email on a schedule. On Agency they carry your logo, colours and report sub-domain, and the whole team can sign in.

When Local Falcon fits better

Where Local Falcon is the better choice

For measuring local visibility on its own, Local Falcon covers more ground for less money. If these matter most to your work, it is the stronger fit.

Apple Maps and Grok

Local Falcon runs grids on Apple Maps and on Grok. SearchOps covers neither.

More AI engines on the grid

Local Falcon asks ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode and Grok the same prompt from every point on a grid, and reports the sentiment of what they say. SearchOps puts AI Overviews and AI Mode on the grid and checks ChatGPT and Gemini by prompt, without a map.

A lower price per grid point

Local Falcon Pro is $99.99 a month for 31,250 credits, one credit a point. The same weekly job for 20 locations costs $189 on SearchOps.

Unlimited locations and keywords

Every Local Falcon plan scans as many businesses as its credits allow, which suits prospecting and competitor scans. SearchOps plans hold up to 10, 50 or 200 locations.

Credits that keep, and a no-card start

Pay-as-you-go credits at $0.05 each never expire, and a new account starts with 100 credits and no card. SearchOps has a live demo and sets up trials for agencies on request.

Looker Studio, Zapier and n8n

Local Falcon sends data to Looker Studio dashboards and connects to Zapier and n8n. SearchOps offers a read-only API, an MCP server and webhooks instead.

Switching

Moving from Local Falcon

A switch is mostly setup: listing the businesses and keywords you track, connecting the profiles you manage and setting schedules.

  1. 01

Keep a copy of your reports

Local Falcon exports scan reports as CSV or PDF on every plan. Save the ones you want to keep as history, and list each client's locations and the keywords you scan.

  2. 02

    Upload the locations

Add them in one go from a CSV file, and SearchOps matches each row to its Google listing.

  3. 03

    Import the keywords

Bring keyword lists in from Excel, CSV or a paste, and file them under the services each business sells.

  4. 04

    Connect the profiles you manage

A Google sign-in connects the Business Profiles you manage, for edits, posts and replies. Rivals and prospects can be scanned without connecting anything.

  5. 05

Run both for one reporting cycle

Set the schedules and watch the direction of travel rather than single pins. Each tool lays out its grid, picks its scan times and reads results its own way, so the same point can differ between them.

  6. 06

    Cancel the Local Falcon package

Local Falcon's FAQ says a cancelled package keeps its credits to the end of the billing cycle, then the account moves to pay as you go with the card kept on file, so scheduled scans can keep running. Pause any campaigns you no longer need, and turn off Auto Recharge if you want the card removed.

FAQ

SearchOps and Local Falcon. Questions we get

Not for tracking alone. Twenty locations with five keywords each on a 7×7 grid every week is 21,234 Google Maps points a month. Local Falcon Pro covers that for $99.99 a month. On SearchOps the cheapest way is Pro with two 5,000-credit top-ups, at $189 for one user, or Agency at $249 with white-label reports and unlimited team members, against $199.99 for Local Falcon Premium with white-label. The SearchOps price also covers profile edits with approval and undo, posts, review replies, audits against up to five rivals and 3,000 ChatGPT and Gemini checks a month on Pro (6,000 on Agency). Prices were checked on 25 October 2026.

Your locations and keywords, yes: upload locations as a CSV file and import keywords from Excel, CSV or a paste, grouped by service. Past scans stay in Local Falcon, so export the reports you want to keep as CSV or PDF first. Grids from two tools won't match point for point, so judge the first weeks by the trend.

No. SearchOps runs grids on Google Maps, on Google Search for the local pack and AI Overviews, and on AI Mode (up to 9×9, in the US, UK and India). It checks ChatGPT and Gemini by prompt. Local Falcon covers Apple Maps and Grok as well, so if you need those it is the better fit.

Local Falcon asks an AI engine the same prompt from every point on a grid, from 9 to 441 times, and reports where the business is mentioned, the brands named, the sources used and the sentiment. SearchOps groups prompts under the services each business sells, sends every prompt to both ChatGPT and Gemini on a schedule, and reports whether the business is named, who is named instead, share of voice and the sites each answer cites. On AI Mode, SearchOps also works on the grid, showing named or not named at each point.

Both make changes to a Business Profile, publish posts and reply to reviews. Falcon Agent acts on your instruction or on a schedule, with an on or off switch for each location and a log of what it did; Local Falcon's pricing table lists it on Basic and above. In SearchOps every profile change waits for your approval before it goes to Google, can be undone afterwards, and is held if Google's value changed since you last looked.

On Local Falcon, Premium ($199.99 a month) and above, with your logo and contact details on any report. On SearchOps, Agency ($249 a month), with your logo, colours and a report sub-domain, plus unlimited team members.

Local Falcon gives a new account 100 credits with no card. SearchOps doesn't run an open trial. Its live demo opens the real product on a sample business, and agencies can ask for a trial at info@searchops.co. Monthly plans cancel at any time, with access to the end of the period.

Yes. SearchOps is priced in 7 currencies, including pounds: £29, £79 and £199 a month. Local Falcon's pricing page lists US dollars only. Google Maps and Google Search grids work wherever Google Maps does.
