AI visibility checks

You track keywords. We turn them into what people actually ask.

One check is one prompt put to one engine. The number on your plan is the easy half. The half that decides whether any of it is useful is where the prompts come from, and you do not write them.

1

Add a location and the keywords you already track

That is the whole setup. We read the business behind the location: its Google category, its address, the area it actually trades in and its website. Nothing else to fill in, and no prompt list to invent.

2

We work out what kind of business you are

A locksmith at 2am and a dental practice are not asked the same things, so they should not be measured with the same questions. Your Google category places you in one of five business types, and that decides which angles your prompts are drawn from. It is a plain category match, not a guess, so you can see why you got what you got and change it if we read it wrong.

3

We group prompts under each keyword

Two to four per keyword, each one a different angle on the same intent, each anchored to your city rather than the country. They are ready before the page finishes loading, and the agent can rewrite them in your words once you have seen them.

Why prompts sit underneath a keyword

A keyword is not a prompt. Nobody types "emergency plumber leeds" into an assistant. They say their boiler is leaking and they need someone tonight. One keyword is really several different asks, and the engines answer them differently: you can be the first name on an urgent callout and absent from the same trade's price question. Tracking a single phrasing tells you almost nothing, and it is why a tool that hands you an empty prompt box tends to get filled with six versions of one question. Grouping the prompts under the keyword is what makes the result a measure of your visibility rather than a measure of your phrasing.

What one keyword turns into

"emergency plumber, Leeds", read as callout and emergency
  • Ready to buyUrgency

I need an emergency plumber in Leeds today, who can actually come out, and who should I call first?

  • Ready to buyDirect request

Find me the best options for an emergency plumber in Leeds and tell me who to contact.

  • ComparingPrice

What do providers charge for an emergency plumber in Leeds, and which ones are worth using?

  • ExploringDiscovery

I'm starting to look into emergency plumbers in Leeds, who actually does this locally, and who should I approach?

Four prompts on both ChatGPT and Gemini is 8 checks a run, whether you run that keyword yourself or a schedule does. You choose how far up the buying journey to measure, per location, and the cost follows that choice rather than a plan restriction.

You find out whether you are recommended, not just mentioned

Every prompt ends in a request for names, because a prompt that returns general advice spends a check and measures nothing. What comes back is the shortlist you were or were not on, and who was on it instead.

Measured where you trade

The city goes inside the prompt, resolved from your address rather than from a guess at your postcode. A national answer tells a local business nothing.

The wording is frozen once it runs

A trend only means something if the question stayed the same. Once a prompt has run we stop rewriting it, so a change in your visibility is a change in the answer, not a change in what we asked.

Both engines, kept comparable

ChatGPT returns a local shortlist. Gemini answers out of Google's own index, which is the closest read on whether your Google profile, citations and content are doing their job. The same prompts go to both, so the two are worth putting side by side.

Nothing to maintain

Add a keyword next month and it is covered the next time your schedule runs. You are never asked to sit down and write prompts.

What your monthly checks are worth

A prompt asked on both ChatGPT and Gemini uses two checks. On the default setup, 2 prompts per keyword across both engines, watching one keyword once costs 4 checks. So your allowance works out at:

PlanChecks / monthPrompts tracked weeklyKeywords watched weekly
Starter6006934
Pro3,000345170
Agency6,000690345
Enterprise20,0002,3051,150

Check monthly instead of weekly and every figure goes up more than four times. Checks refresh at the start of each billing cycle, top-up packs are there if a month runs hot, and none of this touches your scan credits or your rank checks.

On

A keyword is watched by putting the prompts grouped under it to each engine you track. With the default two prompts across both ChatGPT and Gemini that's 4 checks per keyword each time it runs.

Audits

Audits don't use scan credits. Your contract includes the monthly totals you choose here.

A planning estimate, not a bill. Keywords are unlimited within your plan's location cap: one rank check is one keyword looked up, so how often you check is what uses your allowance. Checks you run yourself count too, so treat this as a floor.

Moving an estate over from another tool?

On annual Agency plans we import your locations, set up tracking and get your first scans running, at no extra cost. Enterprise includes the same work with a dedicated manager. Tell us your estate size on the contact form and we'll plan it with you.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Geo-grid rank tracking checks your Google Maps ranking from hundreds of coordinates across a geographic area, then visualises the results as an interactive heatmap. Unlike traditional rank trackers that check from a single point, geo-grid tracking shows you exactly where you rank well and where you don't. Local rankings change street by street.

No. SearchOps is hosted in the UK but works worldwide. You can track rankings, monitor reviews, and audit your Google Business Profile for any location globally. Our geo-grid tracking covers Google Maps in every country where it operates.

SearchOps puts geo-grid rank tracking, Google Search visibility, ChatGPT and Gemini visibility, GBP audits and review monitoring in one platform on one monthly plan, so you are not joining up separate subscriptions to see your local search presence.

Yes, on Agency and Enterprise: your logo, brand colours and your own report sub-domain on the rank reports you share and on your client reports. Every paid plan can share scan, rank and GBP audit reports by link, and your clients need no login to view them. Custom reports can be saved as PDF or emailed on a schedule. Scan and GBP audit links always show standard SearchOps branding.

Every paid plan includes separate allowances, each sold in the unit you actually plan with. Map scans show where you rank across your area, and your scan credits pay for them at one credit per point on the map, so a 21×21 scan uses 441 and a smaller grid stretches further. Keyword tracking is a monthly pool of rank checks: one check is one keyword looked up once, and it reads web results, the Map Pack and AI Overviews on desktop and mobile in the same pass, plus AI Mode for locations in the US, UK and India. Pro's 1,800 checks track about 415 keywords weekly, or 60 daily, or any mix, and checks you run yourself count the same as scheduled ones. AI visibility is a monthly pool of checks too: one check is one prompt put to one engine, and every check asks both ChatGPT and Gemini, so Pro's 3,000 checks cover about 345 prompts checked once a week, by hand or on a schedule. Every paid plan caps how many locations you can track (10 on Starter, 50 on Pro, 200 on Agency), a location can be any business, yours or not, and keywords are unlimited within that. GBP audits have their own monthly allowance shared across your locations (see the plan comparison), and agent review-reply drafts and auto-replies are included without drawing from any bucket. Reviews from a connected Google Business Profile sync automatically and cost nothing; only manual review checks on locations you haven't connected draw on a monthly allowance. Agency and Enterprise include unlimited team members; Starter and Pro are for a single user. There is no free plan: tracking, scans, AI visibility and audits start when you choose a plan.

No. Geo-grid rank tracking, rank tracking, GBP audits and review monitoring all work without connecting. Connecting a GBP profile unlocks owner-only features that no third-party SERP tool can replicate: live Performance metrics (calls, website clicks, directions, search queries), audit ROI reports comparing before and after (Pro and above), and the ability to post review replies and Posts directly from SearchOps. You can connect optionally during onboarding or any time later from Settings.

Replies are sent to Google straight away, but Google checks every owner reply before it goes public. Most are approved within about 10 minutes, and a few can take much longer. SearchOps shows when a reply is waiting for Google's review or has been rejected, so you always know where it stands. We never auto-reply to reviews under 4 stars; those always wait for a human.

Direct from Google's Business Profile Performance API: calls, website clicks, direction requests, search and Maps impressions, plus the search queries that triggered them. These are owner-only metrics; they require an OAuth-connected profile to access. Google reports these numbers a few days behind, so every chart shows the last day Google has reported.
