Scans & geo-grid

Schedule recurring scans

Set scans to run automatically so you track visibility over time.

Last reviewed September 20262 min read

Scheduling a scan means it runs automatically on a set rhythm, so your ranking data stays current without you remembering to re-run it. It turns a one-off snapshot into a trend you can act on and show clients.

What you'll need

  • A paid plan. Scheduling is included on every paid plan.
  • A matched location and at least one keyword.

Set up a scan campaign

  1. Go to Schedules in the sidebar, under Workspace.
  2. In the Geo-grid scans section, select New scan (or Schedule a scan if you have none yet) to open New scan campaign.
  3. Give the campaign a name, for example "Weekly plumber check".
  4. Choose the Location and tick the Keywords to include. You can select several at once.
  5. Choose a Frequency: Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks, or Monthly.
  6. Set the Run time, then the Grid size and Coverage, exactly as for a one-off scan.
  7. Optionally turn on Email me when this runs and, if you like, send it to a different address.
  8. Select Create campaign. Before you do, the cost summary shows the credits per run, a rough monthly total and your current balance.

Note: Every frequency, including Daily, is available on every paid plan. Grid sizes follow your plan: up to 15x15 on Starter, and up to 21x21 on Pro and above.

How credits work with schedules

Each run spends scan credits just like a manual scan: grid size squared, per keyword. A campaign with several keywords multiplies up, so the breakdown shows the cost of one full run. Pick a frequency and grid that fit your monthly allowance.

Tip: Three keywords on a 7x7 grid is 49 x 3 = 147 credits per run. Weekly, that is roughly 590 to 735 credits a month. Size your schedule against your plan's allowance so you do not run dry mid-cycle.

If your balance runs low when a scheduled run starts, SearchOps scans the keywords your balance covers and skips the rest, and keywords that did not run are not charged. The run shows as Partial, or Skipped (no credits) if no keyword could run. See How credits and quotas work.

Managing campaigns

Everything lives under Schedules, alongside your Google Search Visibility and AI Engine Visibility schedules. Use the switch on a campaign to pause or resume it; pausing keeps the setup so you can resume later. Open a campaign to edit or delete it. Each run shows a status, such as Skipped (no credits), or No new data (recent scan reused) when the same keyword was scanned very recently and SearchOps reused that scan instead of charging again.
