One server address works in every app. ChatGPT and Claude sign in with your SearchOps account, so there's no key to copy.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use SearchOps in ChatGPT?
Yes. In ChatGPT, open Plugins, choose Add, then Add custom MCP server, paste the SearchOps server address and sign in with your SearchOps account. Then type @SearchOps in a chat and ask your question. Custom plugins depend on your ChatGPT plan, and in a ChatGPT workspace an admin may need to allow them.
Is SearchOps listed in the ChatGPT or Claude directories?
Not yet. You add it yourself with the server address, which takes about a minute in either app.
Which other apps work?
Claude on the web and desktop connects by signing in with your SearchOps account, and the connection then works in the Claude mobile apps too. Claude Code can sign in or use an API key, and other apps that support remote MCP servers, such as Cursor and VS Code, connect with an API key.
Can I use Google Search Console in ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Connect Search Console to SearchOps and the assistant can read clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position by search, page, country, device or date, plus an analysed view of what gained and lost. There is no separate Search Console server to set up in the assistant.
Can I use Google Analytics in ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Connect Google Analytics to SearchOps and the assistant can read sessions, engagement and key events by landing page, channel, source or device. Ask about Search Console and Analytics in the same question to follow a visitor from the search to the enquiry.
What are ready-made prompts?
Shortcuts for common jobs: a weekly client update, diagnosing a drop, a monthly report, review reply drafts and AI visibility gaps. Apps that support MCP prompts, such as Claude, list them for you to pick. In any app you can also just ask in your own words.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is a standard way for assistants like ChatGPT and Claude to use tools from other apps. The SearchOps MCP server is what lets them read your data when you ask a question.
Can the assistant change anything in my account?
It can add and update tasks on your Tasks board, and, if you leave the drafts permission ticked when you connect, save review reply and post drafts. Drafts wait in the Reply Inbox and Post Studio for a person to publish. It cannot publish to Google, run scans, spend credits, delete anything or edit your Business Profile.
Does it use my credits?
No. A connection reads data SearchOps already holds. It cannot run scans or spend credits.
Who can connect it?
An account owner or admin approves each connection, and each connection sees that one account. You can disconnect an app or revoke a key at any time under Developers.
Which plans include it?
It is included on Pro, Agency and Enterprise.
