What is the MCP server?
It is a connector that lets an AI assistant read your SearchOps data through the Model Context Protocol, a standard way for assistants to use external tools. Once connected you can ask things like "how is the Aberdeen branch doing?" or "which searches lost clicks this month?" and it answers from your live data.
Which assistants work?
Claude on the web or desktop connects by signing in with your SearchOps account, and the connection then works in the Claude mobile apps too. Claude Code can sign in or use an API key, and other clients that support remote MCP servers, such as Cursor and VS Code, connect with an API key.
Is it secure?
Only an account owner or admin can approve a connection, every connection is read-only, and you can disconnect an app or revoke a key at any time under Developers. The assistant reads your data when you ask it something, so only connect assistants you trust.
