Reports & Tasks

Every tool in SearchOps finds problems. Reports & Tasks is where those findings turn into work you can show a client. Confirmed findings from map scans, rank tracking, ChatGPT and Gemini, your Google profile and reviews roll up into one board with owners and due dates, and every finished task shows whether the number it was meant to move actually moved. The reports you send are built from the same measurements, so what you report and what you did stay in step.

Why it's different

Built for the way local SEO actually works

One board, every tool

Rankings, map scans, ChatGPT and Gemini, Google profile, reviews, competitors and Search Console all add cards to the same board, with a limit per location so it stays a plan, not an inventory.

Reports ready for clients

Drag blocks together (rank summary, keyword table, trend chart, competitor leaderboard, results vs baseline, your own notes), then save it as a PDF or email it on a schedule.

Sent on a schedule

Set a report to go out daily, weekly or monthly and it emails itself. The headline figures land in each recipient's inbox without anyone remembering to export anything.

Finished work shows up on the charts

Complete a card and it becomes a marker on your Explore charts. Tasks from your tools also show the number they were meant to move, before and after, so the line that moved is labelled with the work that went in.

The problem it solves

Findings are cheap. Finished work is the thing you get paid for.

An audit that lists 40 issues has not helped anybody yet. Most tools stop there, and the actual list of what to do next ends up in a spreadsheet nobody opens. Tasks is the layer that catches the output of every tool and turns it into a small number of things a person can actually pick up.

  • A card is a piece of work, not a finding: it names what to change, such as a category, a page or a directory, and roughly how long it takes
  • Columns are To do, Doing and Blocked, with owners and due dates per card, and finished cards move to Done
  • Overdue work is counted and surfaced, so a stalled card does not quietly sit there for a month
  • Add your own cards alongside the ones the tools produce, so the board is the whole job and not just our half of it

Where cards come from

Your tracking data decides the work, plus anything you add yourself

SearchOps reads what your scans, rank checks and AI visibility checks found and works out what to change. A keyword leaving the map pack is not a card on its own: it shows as a change on your dashboard, next to the card for the fix when the data points to one. When most of the lost ground is simply closer to other businesses, it says so instead of inventing work.

  • Map pack: a category the businesses beating you use, and the number of Google reviews to aim for
  • Google Search: pages close to the top results, titles that kept their position but lost clicks, and two of your pages competing for one search
  • AI answers: the directories and articles AI answers cite when your rivals appear and you do not
  • Google profile audit fixes and complaints that keep coming up in reviews
  • Playbooks run on the same board: starting a play loads its steps as cards in order
  • Ticking a card off writes back to the play, so the two views cannot disagree about the same piece of work

Reporting

A report is assembled from measurements, not retyped from them

The report builder reads the same data your trackers already collected. Pick the blocks, pick the window, and the numbers are whatever the scans actually returned. Nothing is copied by hand, so nothing drifts.

  • Blocks: rank summary, keyword table, rank trend chart, competitor leaderboard, results vs baseline, and free text for your commentary
  • Windows of the last 7, 30 or 90 days or the last 12 months, and a results block that compares now with before the work started
  • Save it as a PDF, with your own branding on Agency and Enterprise, or schedule it to send itself
  • Saved views live on the same hub, so the working view and the client view come from one place

The join

What you did, next to what changed

Completed cards become markers on your Explore charts. That is a deliberately conservative join: work you finished is a fact worth showing next to the trend line, but a finding that merely stopped appearing is not, because a quiet crawl looks the same as a fixed problem. Only the first kind gets pinned.

How it works

Three steps from signup to insight

1

Run your tools as normal

Audits, scans and trackers keep working the way they always did. What they find is turned into specific cards on the board instead of stopping at the end of a report.

2

Work the board

Assign owners, set due dates, move cards across the columns. Add your own cards for anything the tools cannot see.

3

Send the report

Build the report once, save it as a PDF or put it on a schedule. Completed work shows up on your Explore charts as it lands.

What it uses

What it costs

Reports and Tasks are included on every paid plan. They read data your scans, audits and trackers have already collected, so building, printing or scheduling a report doesn't use any of your allowances.

  • Building, printing and scheduling reports use no allowance
  • Creating, assigning and completing tasks use no allowance
  • Included on every paid plan

FAQ

Reports & Tasks. Questions we get

Not to read what you send them. Save the report as a PDF, with your own branding on Agency and Enterprise plans, or schedule an email that puts the headline figures in their inbox. Scan and rank reports also have share links that open without a login.

Yes. Alongside the data blocks there is a free text block, so the numbers can sit next to your explanation of what happened and what you are doing next. In practice that is the part clients read first.

Because a card is a unit of work. If a competitor moves above you on 15 searches at once, that is one thing to respond to, not 15 separate jobs, so it lands as one card that names the scale of it. Splitting it would drown the board and hide the two cards that actually matter this week.

The next run of that tool notices the finding is gone and the card is reconciled automatically, so you are not closing cards by hand for work the data already proves is done. Cards you complete yourself stay completed and are the ones that get pinned to your Explore charts.

Yes, and you should. Client calls, a monthly ranking review, a photo shoot for a Google profile: add them as cards so the board reflects the whole engagement. The board is only useful if it is the one place your team looks.

Playbooks are the Plays tab on the same page. Starting a play loads its steps onto the board in order, with anything not yet unlocked sitting in Blocked. Ticking a step off on the board updates the play, and the other way round, so there is only ever one truth about what is done.

Yes. Add blocks for as many branches as you like in one report, and the report's date window applies to all of them.

See where you actually rank on Google Maps, not where Google tells you. Pick the plan that fits and start tracking from day one.
